Corny and sappy, with some danger and excitement thrown in.Logan Callahan's a spoiled, rich princess, or so Nick Rodgers thinks, as he tries to protect her from the stalker who's been following and threatening her. He's an honest, God-fearing cowboy and ex-military man who works security for his best friend. When he takes one look at the woman he's supposed to protect, he knows it's a very bad idea for the two of them to be alone so much together. After all, he's really not her type, at all.
Logan writes scientific journals and other such stuff as a ghost writer for acedic types. On the side, though, she writes romance novels under a pen name, and earns a very tidy income doing it. In fact, she hasn't touched her trust fund in years. She's strong, independant, loving and classy, and she's proud of it, even if she is short and a little too curvy to be quite fashionable. She knows Nick would probably never be attracted to someone like her. She's just not his type.
When the two of them are stuck in a remote cabin together while the other members of Cooper Security hunt for Logan's stalker, they drive each other crazy wondering whose type they are.
Really cute! I had no idea who the stalker was, either. Great read!

I liked that you got a little bit of interaction with the couple from the first book in the series. I felt that it was similar to the other book and felt bad that the main male character wasn't as discerning as he was portrayed in the first book. Like the first book I do wish that there weren't as many details in the kissing but I don't think it will be a big deal to many readers. It is fairly easy to skip those paragraphs when they come. If you liked the first you will probably like this book. Don't spend more than a couple of dollars on it.
Not Her Type, Book 2 in the Opposites Attract series by Lisa Crane, is the story of Nick Rodgers, employed by Cooper Security, as bodyguard for Logan Callahan, a writer who is being stalked. Read this book and enjoy a ride in the fast lane as shy, Christian Nick falls for the beautiful, rich, princess-type he believes Logan to be. Logan, in turn, falls for Nick, believing he is a handsome, devil-may-care playboy who thinks he is not her type. Add Micah, another Cooper Security employee, in the mix and things sky rocket! A most entertaining, heart-warming story with the two main characters from the first book in this series along for the ride makes this one enjoyable read. This story paves the way for Book 3. Lisa, your readers eagerly await Micah's story! ) I have never met Lisa but I follow her on social media.
I recently read all the books in the McKenna's Haven series written by this author. I enjoyed them so much I started reading her other books as well. I really enjoyed the "Opposites Attracts" series, too.
I did not enjoy this book quite as much as some of the others, but it is still better than many other romance novels out there....and I do recommend it.
The characters in the book are "real" people. Intelligent, humorous, and good. I really like that! The story line is also good and definitely held my interest.
The 'mystery' just sort of fizzled out at the end. I was like "really"? "That's it?" it didn't even make much sense. I think that could have been developed more.
So, while the mystery aspect was disappointing, the romance was great. Well worth reading.
So far, I have enjoyed every book by this author and look forward to reading her future offerings. I definitely recommend her books,
So I'm a avid reader. Even more than that though I'm an avid "stalker" of free and reduced price books. I'm constantly downloading and sometimes don't get to books until months (sometimes years) down the road.
Case in point, this lovely book right here.
Not Her Type is actually the second book in the series and I loved both books!
The action was very believeable and those kisses were heart stopping. I always love when original characters make appearances in sequels. Makes me feel like I'm visiting with old friends. Had a great christian message and the characters made me want to love them.
I hope Ms. Crane will be doing a third book in this series.

Nick Rodgers works for Cooper Security. He's happy his best friend Travis and his wife, Brooke found love and happiness. Now he's waiting for the Lord to send him a good Christian girl to love. One he can have a home and family with. Logan Callahan is a writer who finds herself the victim of a stalker. Her publicist hired Cooper Security to protect her. Nick is immediately drawn to Logan but is wounded trying to protect her. They are forced to flee to a friend's remote cabin. It's there that Logan asks Nick about his faith. Nick is delighted to share that with her, however, he also finds himself sharing a strong attraction. As the attraction between them grows, so does the temptation. Nick is having trouble keeping his mind on something other than Logan and how she feels in his arms. Logan is having trouble understanding why Nick is behaving the way he is.
This was a wonderful follow-up to Not His Type. I am so glad that Travis and Brooke are so much a part of this story. Brooke's humor and wit shines through as they help Travis' best friend, Nick, through troubled waters. Nick is really a great guy. Strong and loving with a gentle type spirit. Logan is strong and independent yet had a real sweetness about her. She also had spunk. Watching them struggle with their attraction was amusing. There was a lot of chemistry between them but not quite as much as Brooke and Travis. Not Her Type is laced with humor, drama and was just plain fun to read. Snappy dialog and fun-loving characters make for a great story. The door is wide open for a third book which I will be watching for. You can read this as a stand alone but I strongly suggest you read Not His Type first.
